Do you remember The Rave-Ups? Probably not.
I can recall exactly one song by them: Positively Lost Me. It was featured in a scene from the movie Pretty In Pink. But didn't make it onto the soundtrack.
I was reading a recent retrospective of John Hughes and this song/scene was mentioned.
I don't think I've heard the song in 20 years.

John Hughes and his team always had a keen sense in combining the right music with what was going on in their movies. It's one of my favorite soundtracks. Unfortunately, I only remember the Rave-Ups because of the movie, but I was aware they existed. I remember Molly Ringwald may have had their name written on blue binder in Sixteen Candles. I'd have to fact check that one, but I'm pretty sure. :-)
